Firstly, if you have never watched the film The City of Lost Children, put it on your list. If you don’t have a list, start one. Secondly, usually when I show people photos from travelling, they point out that most of the images are of buildings and mountains and rivers and so on; i.e. there are no people in them. This trip was no exception and several people have complained that the photos I’ve posted so far are too lonely. With that in mind, here are a few pictures of the children from the villages near the Rivertime Resort. I’m slightly nervous about posting these, as I don’t have legal releases from the children (we could barely communicate, let alone sign contracts), so if anyone has any concerns or objections, please contact me.
I should say that I didn’t take these photographs (obviously, since I am in many of them!) – they were taken by my partner and superior photographer, Pei Pei.
